How to reveal hidden tab in Word 2007

In the default view mode of Word 2007, there are seven tabs presence. Tabs showed in the Ribbon are Home, Insert, Page layout, References, Mailings, Review and View.





A hidden tab could be revealed through excel options. What are in the hidden tab?


The hidden tab contains commands related to developer services called Developer.



This tab consist of five group commands: code, controls, xml, protect and templates. In the code group, it placed visual basic command to launch visual basic editor. A command to view macro list provided in this group as well as record macro command.

Protect document command allows user to set a password of current document. The password will restrict people from making certain manipulation.


The developer tab not only presence in Excel, but it can be revealed in Word and PowerPoint also. In Excel, Developer tab has only three command groups, without Document template command.





While in PowerPoint shows two command groups: code and controls.





 Step to show developer tab:





































• Goto office tab button and choose word options or excel options at the bottom.
• A panel appears with different options to choose from.
• Check the option Shows developer tab in the Ribbon

When you activate this tab in one MS Office application, it gets visible in all the others. For ex. if you activate  this tab on Word, then on PPT and Excel too this tab gets visibility.
